HistoryOn May 27, 2021, AgStart opened The Lab@AgStart, and within six months, the 26 user benches in the wet lab were fully occupied by ten startups. A subsequent expansion doubled our available user lab benches to 52, and added dedicated Fermentation Lab and Tissue Culture Lab facilities.
In its first two years of operation, startup companies residing at the incubator have created over 24 new full-time-equivalent professional jobs and brought over $60 million in private capital investment to our region. Some of these companies have graduated into their own private pilot/scale-up facilities. |
